What Is SPLASH at MIT, Stanford & Other Universities?
Splash is a network of independent, university-student-led learning events with host-specific rules. MIT’s November 21–22, 2026 programme is for grades 9–12 and costs USD 70, with financial aid. Stanford’s November 14–15 event serves grades 8–12, costs USD 50 plus optional lunch, and uses entry and class lotteries with fee waivers available. Chicago describes a free programme with different age guidance. There is no universal Splash fee, student deadline or eligibility rule; families should use the chosen host’s current registration process.
