# St. John's College Summer Academy Summer Academy is the pre-college program of St. John's College, the school famous for its all-great-books curriculum on campuses in Annapolis, Maryland and Santa Fe, New Mexico. High schoolers spend a week living the St. John's experience: reading foundational texts and discussing them around a seminar table in classes of no more than 20 students, led by college faculty. Online sessions are also offered. ## What You'll Do - Read and discuss some of the greatest books ever written in faculty-led, discussion-based seminars - Choose themed weeks - 2026 sessions included A Week with Shakespeare, Equality and Inequality (Annapolis), Wisdom and Wilderness, and Thinking about Paintings and Poetry (Santa Fe) - Live on campus with fellow readers, with room, board, books, and activities included - Practice careful reading, critical thinking, and seminar discussion - the core St. John's skills ## Who Should Apply Students ages 15-18 who love big questions, literature, and philosophy. Registration is per session ($1,400 including room and board, with an early-deposit rate) and applications are accepted on a rolling basis until sessions fill. ## Outcomes Participants gain authentic seminar experience directly modeled on the college's classes, exposure to philosophy and classics rarely taught in high school, and a strong signal of humanities readiness for college applications.
