What Is NC State Design Camp — Design Immersions?
Rising 11th- and 12th-grade students begin with online orientation and design-fundamentals modules, rank studio-project preferences, then spend a residential week at NC State completing one project aimed at portfolio quality. The 2026 program had 110 seats and a 4:1 student-staff ratio.
Historical early registration cost was $1,600, including prep modules, housing, meals, instruction, supplies, activities and insurance. Registrations after April 10 cost $1,650. A $100 nonrefundable deposit was required. Limited financial assistance covered only part of the camp fee and still required the deposit; travel was not covered.
