What Is Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships?
The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation recognizes students ages 5-25 who have shown creativity, leadership, and measurable impact addressing hunger. For 2026-27, applicants must be enrolled at an accredited US institution, be US citizens or permanent residents living in a US state, and document unpaid anti-hunger service benefiting non-family members in the United States during the prior 12 months.
Applications are open August 20-October 20, 2026 and the rules print a closing time of 11:59 p.m. PST. The Foundation may name up to five national scholars, more, fewer, or none. Each national scholar receives a USD 10,000 postsecondary scholarship or qualified 529 contribution and directs a USD 5,000 grant to an approved local US hunger-relief charity. Up to ten honorable mentions may direct USD 1,000 grants. National scholars must attend the all-expenses-paid May 5-7, 2027 Sodexo Charity Classic in Scottsdale; failure to attend or complete required documentation can forfeit the award.
