The Earth Prize

# The Earth Prize The Earth Prize is a $100,000 environmental sustainability competition open to secondary students worldwide, planned and executed by The Earth Foundation, a Swiss not-for-profit. It recognizes and awards students who develop the best solutions to accelerate positive change toward environmental sustainability, and registration is free of charge at every stage. ## What You'll Do - Register individually or form a team of up to five students from any class, grade, or school - Work through The Earth Prize learning content on current environmental challenges and solution design - Submit a Fresh Idea - a proposed solution to an environmental challenge, local, national, or global in scope - Get one-to-one mentoring from university students on the competition's Mentorship Portal and Discord community - If selected as an Earth Prize Scholar, refine your submission into a Final Idea for regional and global judging ## Who Should Apply Students between and including the ages of 13 and 19 who are registered in a school or educational program at the secondary level (tertiary students are not eligible). Participants are strongly encouraged to have an adult Educator - a teacher, administrator, program coordinator, or a parent for homeschooled students. ## Outcomes Since 2022 the competition has drawn more than 20,000 students from 169 countries and territories. Regional Winners are named for each of seven world regions, a public vote selects the Global Winner at the Awards Ceremony, and outstanding submissions earn The Earth Prize Scholars distinction plus access to the alumni network.
