What Is Business Emerging Leaders (BEL) Scholarship?
BEL is not simply a short precollege camp. It is a competitive merit-based scholarship and four-year support cohort for students from diverse backgrounds who enter the Wisconsin School of Business. Recipients receive at least $10,000 per year for four years/eight semesters toward tuition and fees, with possible adjustment for other tuition scholarship support.
Before their first semester, scholars complete a required three-week residential experience at UW-Madison whose cost is covered except transportation. Support then continues through academic advising, career coaching, monthly cohort meetings, mentoring, and priority consideration for specified residential learning communities.
