What Is Virtual Enterprises International High School?
Virtual Enterprises International (VE) is a school-implemented academic-year course, not a national extracurricular that a student applies to independently. In an active VE school, students enroll through the counselor or local course process. If a school does not offer VE, a teacher or administrator must first work with a VE Regional Director and register the institution; the current 2026-27 registration requires a code from that director.
The grades 9-12 classroom becomes a simulated company. A teacher facilitates while students work in departments such as administration, accounting, finance, sales, marketing, human resources, and IT. The firm researches a market, develops and executes a business plan, creates products and e-commerce materials, prepares financial and annual reports, pays simulated expenses and payroll, and trades with student businesses through VE's global online banking and marketplace. Students may also enter local, regional, national, and online competitions and attend exhibitions or leadership events.
