What Is Khan Academy Volunteer Translation Program?
Khan Academy's translation program is an active remote volunteer opportunity supporting localized educational content. It is not a formal high-school program and the official requirements do not specify grades or an age range. Applicants need relevant subject knowledge, fluency in English and the target local language, prior familiarity with Khan Academy, and capacity to contribute at least a few hours every week.
Availability is language-specific. Applicants first check the current language-advocate directory and then use the translator form for a language with an active project. Some Khan-run teams, including Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese on the current directory, are not accepting applications. Khan Academy is also temporarily not onboarding brand-new language teams or new Language Advocates, although prospective advocates may register future interest and should expect an eight-hour weekly commitment.
