# Washington Aerospace Scholars Washington Aerospace Scholars (WAS) is The Museum of Flight's two-phase STEM program for high school juniors across Washington state. Phase One is a no-cost online course developed with the University of Washington, delivered as eight two-week lessons from November through March, covering air and space vehicle design, NASA's space exploration program, and Earth and space science. Students who successfully complete the online curriculum become eligible for five UW college credits and for Phase Two, a six-day summer residency at the Museum in Seattle. ## What You'll Do - Work through eight two-week online lessons on aerospace design and space exploration from November to March - Qualify for five University of Washington college credits (optional $255 fee, with financial assistance available) - Advance to a six-day summer residency alongside STEM professionals, NASA scientists, university students, and STEM educators - Collaborate on team design challenges at The Museum of Flight - Join the Museum's Connections Club network after completing the program ## Who Should Apply Washington state high school juniors interested in science, technology, engineering, and math pathways. Phase One is free; the Phase Two residency fee is $1,850 with tuition assistance available up to 100%. ## Outcomes Graduates earn eligibility for five UW credits, hands-on experience with aerospace professionals, and access to over $250,000 in exclusive Museum scholarship opportunities.
