WashU links high school students to Arts & Sciences credit-bearing Summer Scholars, noncredit residential Institutes and Launch, online Exploration Courses, an all-expenses-paid Rural Scholars Academy, Sam Fox architecture and portfolio programs, Olin business study, paid biomedical/neuroscience research, local environmental field programs, and sports camps. Eligibility, dates, application, cost, credit, residence, and outcomes vary by track.

For 2026 Arts & Sciences programs, published prices ranged from $885 for Summer Kickstart and $985 for one online Exploration Course to $12,135 for a two-course residential Summer Scholars option. Need-based scholarships and qualifying $50 application-fee waivers were available, but travel, books/supplies, personal expenses, computers, and Wi-Fi were excluded. Other WashU programs can instead be free or paid internships.
