What Is World Quizzing Championships?
The World Quizzing Championships are an individual written general-knowledge competition administered internationally through live local venues. The most recent event took place Saturday, June 6, 2026. The official page still shows “Register now,” but that date has passed. The competition normally occurs on the first Saturday in June; no exact 2027 date, venue directory, registration opening, or local fee is announced.
The test has 240 questions spanning a wide range of subjects and is sat simultaneously around the world. It is open to anyone, so this is not specifically a high-school program and has no stated grade or age restriction. Live participation can earn World Quiz Rankings points. The IQA supplies the question set free to national organizers, but local organizers may charge entry fees to support national quizzing.
