Program Overview
Young Leaders for Peace (YLP) is a two-week summer leadership programme for high school students in collaboration with the University for Peace-UN Mandated (UPEACE) in San José, Costa Rica. Through a balanced blend of experiential and classroom learning, participants will practice collaborative problem-solving, ethical decision-making, and fostering creativity for social impact and sustainability. YLP strengthens students' skills in emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, social innovation, and effective leadership while exploring the interdisciplinary nature of peace.
