What Is Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award?
Zonta recognizes women ages 16–19 who demonstrate volunteerism, leadership, and commitment to empowering women and girls. Applicants begin through a local Zonta club, and selected applications can advance through district/region review to the international level. Zonta lists 37 international awards of $5,000 each; local and district awards, if offered, can vary.
The 2026 cycle is closed. Zonta says to check back in July 2027 for information about 2027 applications, but it does not say an application will open on a particular July date. Each local club sets the deadline printed on its application. Eligibility and submission details must therefore be confirmed with the participating club for the new cycle.
