What Is ASPCA Regional Advocacy Field Team (RAFT)?
ASPCA does not publish a program called Advocacy Ambassador. Its closest active structured entry role is the Regional Advocacy Field Team (RAFT), a nationwide grassroots-policy volunteer team supported by ASPCA's Legislative Engagement staff. Volunteers can participate from home and in their communities by phone banking, writing to lawmakers or newspaper editors, supporting ballot measures, joining advocacy events, lobbying, running social-media campaigns, connecting local advocates, and attending educational webinars.
RAFT applications are rolling. ASPCA asks for a minimum six-month commitment and says activity may reach about two hours per month, with more legislative activity possible from January through May. The normal minimum age is 18. A younger advocate can be considered only case by case when an adult will assist and monitor the activities; this is not automatic grades 9-12 eligibility. Some activities may involve optional travel within the volunteer's state. The position is unpaid.
