What Is Bezos Scholars Program?

Bezos Scholars is a no-cost yearlong leadership programme pairing eligible U.S. public-school juniors with a participating educator. Students develop community-change projects, receive college advising and attend a covered Aspen trip. Applicants need a 3.0 unweighted GPA, an advanced course and a qualifying school; schools with a Scholar selected in 2025 or 2026 are excluded.

The current 2027 portal opens November 19, 2026 and closes January 12, 2027 at 8 p.m. Pacific. Older guide and timeline dates conflict with that current portal. Onboarding is in April, programme kickoff in May and the Aspen trip in late June.
