What Is LEDA Scholars Program?
LEDA Scholars is a selective six-year support pathway for roughly 100 high-achieving, leadership-oriented U.S. high-school juniors from under-resourced backgrounds each year. The 2026-2027 LEDA Scholars application is open. Part I opened September 9, 2026 and closes December 9, 2026; counselor information and the teacher recommendation are due the same day. Selected applicants submit Part II financial documentation in late February 2027, without a published exact day. The provider does not publish a cutoff clock or timezone.
The pathway begins with a completely free residential Aspects of Leadership Summer Institute associated with Princeton and Yale, offering leadership seminars, writing instruction, standardized-test preparation, college guidance and campus experience. LEDA's current application and program pages call it five weeks, while its homepage still says seven weeks; applicants should confirm the next cohort's controlling length and campus assignment.
