What Is Caltech Math Meet?
Caltech students organize this team mathematics competition for full-time high-school students age 19 or younger. Teams have up to six students, and a published individual-entry route is also available. The January 30, 2027 in-person meet includes Team, Guts and Individual rounds, plus optional activities such as an Integration Bee and mathematics talks. The current registration page says Guts replaces the earlier Power Round; the previous remote proof-based format is not the current round structure.
Initial registration closes November 13, 2026, with no published cutoff clock or timezone. Selected teams receive notice November 14 and pay by December 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST. The payment deadline is for selected entrants and does not extend initial registration. The page also retains an old 2026 heading alongside the current 2027 notice; use the current event and dated payment instructions.
