What Is Citadel Datathons?
Citadel Datathons are selective data-science competitions held at locations around the world. Participants work in teams with a large dataset, build a data-driven analysis or application, and present their findings to judges. Citadel advertises cash prizes and possible eligibility to interview with the firm, but neither a prize nor an interview is guaranteed.
The live eligibility rules do not include high-school students. Women's and Summer Invitational Datathons are for undergraduates age 18 or older, in good standing at a university in the 50 U.S. states, U.S. territories, Washington, DC, or Canada, with expected graduation from December 2027 through June 2029. Europe Datathon requires undergraduates age 18 or older at European universities graduating December 2026-June 2028. Asia and India Datathons use that age/student requirement for universities in Asia or Asia-Pacific. PhD Datathon is for PhD students age 18 or older in good standing anywhere in the world. Eligibility does not ensure selection.
