What Is Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow?

CoCoRaHS welcomes volunteers of all ages to measure rain, hail and snow in their communities and report observations online. Observers need an approved manual rain gauge, station-location information and training; applicants under 13 provide guardian details. The routine usually takes about five minutes daily, with readings taken at a consistent time. Signup is ongoing through the appropriate country route. Participation combines outdoor measurement with online reporting, and equipment costs or local sponsored-gauge availability should be checked before joining.
