The Colorado State Knowledge Bowl Meet is the culminating, statewide academic quiz competition for Colorado high school teams. It follows a quiz-bowl style format, combining written and oral rounds that cover math, science, literature, history, geography, current events, and more. Teams earn their place at the state meet by qualifying through regional Knowledge Bowl competitions held earlier in the school year. The program is organized by the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB), and participation is typically open to high school teams (grades 9–12) from public and private schools across Colorado. Students benefit from developing quick recall, teamwork, critical thinking, and broad academic knowledge in a competitive but supportive environment. The state meet provides a chance to compete against top teams from around the state and gain experience that can strengthen college applications and academic confidence.
