What Is Reach For The Top / Schoolreach?
Reach For The Top's Schoolreach program is a paid annual subscription for Canadian schools. A teacher-coach requests the package, which includes practice materials, 12 games and rules. Teams normally field four players plus substitutes, practice in school, and compete in local leagues or regional tournaments. League champions can advance to provincial finals, and top provincial teams may be invited to the annual national finals.
The senior program targets grades 10-12 and Intermediate Schoolreach targets grades 7-9. Official eligibility also requires players to be 19 or younger at the beginning of the school year and continuously enrolled in secondary school. The amount of the annual school fee is not public. Registration is teacher-led and region-sensitive: the site advises schools registering after November 15 to contact the coordinator because local league play may already have begun, but it does not publish one national closing date.
