What Is Folds of Honor Children's Fund and Higher?
Folds of Honor offers two education-funding tracks for eligible military and first-responder families. The Children's Fund pays eligible unmet costs for accredited K-12 private school or established tutoring services; the Higher Education fund supports college, graduate, trade, technical, and qualifying licensure study. Applicants must be the spouse or dependent of a qualifying fallen or disabled U.S. service member or a fallen or catastrophically injured first responder and must document both the relationship and qualifying service/injury status.
Awards are based on unmet eligible educational need, up to USD 5,000 per academic year, and are paid to the school or tutoring organization—not to the student. Applications are online each year from February 1 at 9 a.m. to March 31 at 6 p.m. Eastern, and each student needs a separate application. Applicants reapply annually; award or denial notices usually arrive in mid- to late July. The next portal is not yet open.
