What Is TheDream.US National Scholarship?
TheDream.US National Scholarship is a renewable undergraduate award for eligible first-generation immigrant students who are currently undocumented, with or without DACA or TPS, and who attend an eligible National Partner College. The 2026–27 application is closed. The official page says the next round opens November 1, 2026, but its closing date, time, award year, eligibility cutoffs, and application guide are not yet posted.
Under the last published 2026–27 rules, applicants had to have entered the United States before age 16 and before November 1, 2020; lived continuously in the United States; lacked Pell eligibility and had significant unmet need; completed a U.S. high-school diploma or equivalency before fall 2026; held at least a 2.5 high-school GPA and, if applicable, a 2.5 college GPA; and planned full-time associate or bachelor's enrollment at an eligible Partner College in their state. Public-college applicants generally needed in-state tuition eligibility, with current private, online, and Texas exceptions. These date-specific criteria must be rechecked when the next guide is released.
