# Girls Make Games Summer Camp Girls Make Games runs a three-week summer camp where girls and non-binary students learn to design and program their own video game from scratch. Now in its 13th round of camps, the organization has reached over 8,100 girls across 165+ cities, running in-person camps hosted at game industry locations - including DigiPen Institute in Redmond, WA and Crystal Dynamics and Zynga offices in the Bay Area - alongside a virtual camp open worldwide. ## What You'll Do - Spend three weeks (July 6-24 in 2026, weekdays 10am-4pm) learning game design and programming - Work in teams to build a fully functional game, from concept to playable build - Learn from instructors at flagship sites in Redmond WA, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and North Carolina, or join virtually - Pitch and demo your team's finished game ## Who Should Apply Girls and non-binary students ages 8-18 (grouped as Juniors 8-12 and Teens 13-18) at any experience level - no prior coding or game development experience is needed. In-person tuition for 2026 flagship camps was $2,300 (the Los Angeles camp was free via scholarship funding), with virtual camps at $1,650. The GMG Scholarship Fund offers up to 100% need-based financial aid and payment plans.
