What Is Girls Make Games Summer Camps?
Girls Make Games offers separate three-week in-person and live virtual camps for girls and nonbinary youth ages 8-18. No prior coding or game-development experience is required. Participants learn game design, programming, art and animation, audio, teamwork, pitching, and presentation while building practice and team games with dedicated counselors and industry speakers.
The completed 2026 flagship in-person camps met weekdays July 6-24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Redmond, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles; tuition was $2,300 except the fully sponsored Los Angeles site. Additional North Carolina camps used different dates and did not publish a price on the main page. The worldwide virtual camp met live July 6-24, cost $1,650, and used small groups of four to six. Juniors are ages 8-12 and Teens ages 13-18. Need-based aid up to 100% and payment plans were available.
