# Wolfram Middle School Summer Camp The Wolfram Middle School Summer Camp is an intensive one-week virtual program run by Wolfram Research, the company behind Mathematica and Wolfram|Alpha. Each summer, roughly 20 girls ages 11-14 from around the world meet entirely online to learn programming, computational thinking, and problem solving in the Wolfram Language, guided live by Wolfram instructors. The 2026 camp ran July 26-31, opening with a Sunday orientation and then full camp days from 8am to 3pm Pacific. ## What You'll Do - Learn Wolfram Language basics through live workshops led by Wolfram instructors - no prior coding required - Apply computational thinking to projects in math, science, art, and data - Hear from expert guest speakers and collaborate with peers in an interactive remote classroom - Complete and present your own computational project by the end of the week ## Who Should Apply Girls (including gender-nonconforming students and students assigned female at birth) who are 11 to 14 years old and curious about coding. No programming experience is needed. Applications for each summer typically open in winter; the 2026 standard deadline was July 6 with a waitlist open until July 22, so plan to apply early in the year. ## Outcomes Campers leave with real Wolfram Language skills, a finished project, and continued access to Wolfram technologies included in the $500 tuition. Need-based financial aid can cover up to 100% of tuition, and the fully online format means students can join from anywhere.
