# Global Online Academy Summer Courses Global Online Academy (GOA) is a consortium of leading independent schools around the world that has specialized in high-quality online teaching since 2011. Its summer program opens GOA's catalog to all high school students: in 2026, courses run in a seven-week format from June 15 to July 31, taught in GOA's signature relationship-driven online classrooms. Coursework is primarily asynchronous - no fixed class times - with regular teacher check-ins and feedback. ## What You'll Do - Choose from 20+ courses across entrepreneurship, computer science, psychology, medical studies, economics, engineering, writing, photography, architecture, and math (Algebra I-II, Geometry, Precalculus) - Learn through project-based assignments designed for the online medium, not lecture capture - Work with experienced teachers from GOA member schools and classmates from around the world - Build self-directed learning habits - pacing your own work against weekly milestones ## Who Should Apply Summer courses are open to all high school students worldwide; students at GOA member schools register through their school, and students everywhere else can enroll directly as non-member students. It fits students who want substantive academic electives their school doesn't offer, delivered flexibly enough to combine with jobs, sports, or travel. ## Outcomes Students earn a GOA transcript documenting a rigorous online course - many member schools award credit - plus a graded portfolio of project work and demonstrated online-learning skills. Most courses cost $840 for member-school students and $1,260 for non-member students (math courses $1,200/$1,500). Registration for summer 2026 opened February 16 with a final add date of June 18; expect a similar window next year.
