Howard Hughes Medical Institute Science Education Fellowship

What Is Howard Hughes Medical Institute Science?

HHMI's current program directory organizes opportunities for undergraduates, PhD students, postdocs, faculty and institutions, but does not list this alleged high-school fellowship or a corresponding application.

For example, the real Cech Fellows Program offers full-time mentored summer lab research and a stipend, but it is for rising college juniors and seniors—not high-school students—and its 2026 term ended August 14. HHMI's Science Education Alliance is a network implemented by participating colleges for undergraduate course-based research, not an individual high-school fellowship.
