# Humanity in Action Fellowship Humanity in Action is an international organization that educates, inspires, and connects emerging leaders committed to protecting human rights and promoting democratic values. Their flagship fellowship program brings young leaders to European capitals for intensive study. ## What You'll Do - Spend 4 weeks studying human rights and democracy in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, or Warsaw - Attend lectures and seminars by academics, politicians, journalists, and activists - Conduct site visits to human rights organizations, government institutions, and memorials - Develop an individual Action Project addressing a human rights issue - Join a lifelong fellowship community of 3,000+ alumni across 70+ countries ## Who Should Apply College freshmen and sophomores (18-24), though exceptional high school seniors are sometimes accepted. Strong academic record and demonstrated commitment to human rights, social justice, or civic engagement. All program costs are covered. ## Outcomes - Deep understanding of human rights challenges in a European context - Personal Action Project demonstrating leadership and commitment - Membership in an elite international fellowship network - Enhanced credentials for careers in law, policy, diplomacy, or advocacy
