What Is KIPP Forward?
KIPP Forward is KIPP's network-wide college, career, and postsecondary counseling approach, formerly called KIPP Through College or KIPP Through College & Career. It is not a short national leadership program with a single application, cohort, deadline, or weekly schedule. Local KIPP counselors work with enrolled high-school students and alumni over several years.
In grades 9-12, KIPP Forward combines college knowledge, career exploration, critical thinking, personal agency, college selection and match, financial-fit planning, and postsecondary application support. Counselors help students transition from high school into college or other pathways and continue advising alumni through enrollment, financial aid, campus obstacles, persistence, graduation, and career development. National partners and nearly 400 counselors extend that support.
