What Is National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC)?
NSLC is an independent provider of short, paid pre-college career-exploration programs. High-school students choose a field such as medicine, engineering, business, law, government, media or design and participate in simulations, workshops, guest-speaker sessions, site visits and a common leadership curriculum. Most 2026 high-school listings were residential campus programs lasting six, nine or 12 days; separate commuter options existed at selected locations.
Applicants must be age 14-18 and have completed at least one year of high school; attendance is permitted through the summer after graduation. A nomination or invitation is not the only route: students can submit the online enrollment application directly and place a deposit. NSLC continues accepting applicants while program or waitlist space remains, so availability—not one hard deadline—controls enrollment.
