What Is Kroka Summer Programs?
Kroka is a nonprofit wilderness-expedition school based on a farm in Marlow, New Hampshire. Its summer catalog is a family of in-person programs rather than one expedition: introductory farm and village programs, wilderness skills, paddling and sailing, climbing and caving, mountain biking, ocean expeditions, rites of passage, and multi-element journeys. The completed 2026 schedule served ages 6-18 in five-day day camp and one-, two-, and three-week programs across New England and selected longer destinations.
Admission is not automatic. Kroka considers the student's genuine interest, physical readiness for every program component, family understanding of its philosophy, group composition, and any technical prerequisites. Some older or advanced trips require prior introductory experience. Registration begins with a program-specific form and deposit; after acceptance, families complete medical, emergency, liability, handbook, travel, and packing steps.
