# Living Latin Online High School Living Latin Online High School is the Paideia Institute's intensive two-week summer Latin course for high school students, taught entirely online by the New York-based nonprofit known for its Living Latin in Rome programs and its immersive, active approach to classical languages. The 2026 session ran July 6-18, meeting once a day for two hours, Monday through Friday, for a total of ten live small-group sessions that get students reading, speaking, and thinking in Latin. ## What You'll Do - Meet daily for two-hour live online sessions in a small group of fellow Latin students - Practice active and spoken Latin techniques that make ancient texts come alive - Read real Latin literature with instructors trained in the Paideia Institute's immersive pedagogy - Build fluency and confidence that carries into AP Latin and beyond ## Who Should Apply High school students with at least one year of Latin experience are welcome to apply. Enrollment for each summer closes in the spring - tuition payments become non-refundable after the May 1 course enrollment deadline - so interested students should apply in winter or early spring for the next cycle. ## Outcomes Students finish with markedly stronger reading and comprehension skills, exposure to spoken Latin few schools offer, and a connection to the Paideia Institute's wider world of classics programming, from Living Greek courses to its journals and fellowships. Tuition is $1,000, and the Institute offers a number of full and partial scholarships to participants with financial need.
