What Is Living Greek Online High School?
Living Greek Online High School is Paideia's intensive introductory Ancient Greek course for current high-school students at every grade level. It combines the grammar-translation method with active spoken Ancient Greek and guided work with authentic texts. The course is designed for beginners; students who already know Greek are directed to Paideia's Telepaideia or in-person offerings.
The completed 2026 session ran July 6 through August 14. Students met live on Zoom for one hour each day Monday through Thursday, totaling 24 sessions over six weeks. Paideia formed sections around participants' time zones and availability, making the course accessible worldwide, but enrollment did not guarantee that every proposed meeting time could be accommodated. Students needed to memorize the Greek alphabet before the first class and supply reliable internet, a computer, headset and webcam.
