What Is Michigan Tech Summer Youth Programs?
Michigan Tech SYP is a portfolio of week-long, in-person explorations in STEM, computing, engineering, business, law, arts and humanities, plus more selective Pathway Programs. Students use the grade they are currently in or most recently completed, and the portfolio serves grades 6-11; current 12th-graders, early-middle-college students and graduates are ineligible. Live-in students stay in supervised Wadsworth Hall, while commuters arrange local housing and daily transportation.
The completed 2026 season ran weekly from June 14 through July 17. Standard Exploration pricing was $1,175 live-in or $700 commuter. Live-in pricing included tuition, program fees, meals, room and board; commuter pricing included tuition and meals. Some courses added lab fees, including a published $1,500 additional fee for the gaming-computer build. A $150 nonrefundable deposit was due at registration and the balance was due May 1.
