What Is NOAA Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassador?

NOAA Ocean Guardian Youth Ambassadors learn about ocean conservation through monthly virtual meetings and lead a stewardship project at school or in their community. The programme runs January–December and welcomes U.S. and territory youth ages thirteen to eighteen, including those living far from the coast.

Cohort 5 applications open November 13, 2026 and close January 3, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Ambassadors track their projects, engage in discussions and surveys, and respond to programme messages.
