What Is Ohio War Orphans and Severely Disabled?
Ohio’s War Orphans and Severely Disabled Veterans’ Children Scholarship supports eligible undergraduate study at approved Ohio institutions. Standard eligibility generally requires age 16 to under 25, financial need, the applicable Ohio residence history and a qualifying veteran parent. Guard, reserve, stepchild and POW/MIA routes have additional conditions; the POW/MIA statute has a different upper age.
The 2027-28 form requires the completed application and documentation by May 15, 2027, with FAFSA completion and a stated mail-postmark deadline. Submit the student acknowledgment, signed and notarized parent information, service records and applicable disability or death documentation. Avoid duplicate electronic and mailed or faxed applications.
