What Is Purple Comet! Math Meet?
Purple Comet is a free annual online mathematics competition for teams of one to six students around the world. An adult supervisor age 21 or older creates the account, registers each team, starts and monitors its timed session, and enforces the rules. Teams may include remote members. Middle-school teams solve 20 problems in 60 minutes.
The outer 2027 contest and team-registration window closes April 16 at 04:00 UTC. Team registration opens February 1; a full 60/90-minute team session must fit before the outer close. Solutions are expected April 16 and results April 19, around 18:00 UTC; those publication clocks are approximate, not fixed instants. Competitive age/grade rules and unrestricted noncompetitive participation remain distinct.
