What Is Wisconsin Mathematics, Engineering?

UW-Madison's Department of Mathematics publishes five sets of five proof-based problems each school year for middle- and high-school students in Wisconsin and worldwide. Students may start with any set, solve as few or as many problems as they can, and submit proofs or justifications by email, mail or upload for grading and partial credit.

The 2025-2026 competition has concluded; its final set was due March 15, 2026.
