Romanian Master of Mathematics and Sciences

Organization: Tudor Vianu National High School of Computer Science

Program Overview

Elite international high school contest in math and sciences hosted annually in Bucharest, Romania.

The Romanian Master of Mathematics and Sciences (RMMS) is an elite international competition for top high school teams in mathematics and selected sciences (such as physics, computer science, and others, depending on the edition). It is hosted annually in Bucharest, Romania, and invites national or specialized school teams from around the world. Problems are proof-based and challenging, at or above International Mathematical Olympiad level for math, and similarly advanced for the science tracks. Participation is by national selection: students do not register individually, but are chosen and entered by their country’s math and science olympiad organizations or by invited schools. Typically, participants are advanced secondary students preparing for international olympiads. Benefits include exposure to very high‑level problem solving, experience with international competition formats, interaction with talented peers from many countries, and preparation for future contests such as the IMO and IPhO.
