# Student Board of Directors Program The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Student Board of Directors gives St. Louis-area high school seniors a year inside the nation's central bank. Members attend monthly meetings at the St. Louis Fed, learn how the Federal Reserve shapes the U.S. economy, receive financial-literacy education, and build career skills with Fed professionals. Because seats are limited, no more than one student per school is selected each year. ## What You'll Do - Attend monthly meetings at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis - Study the Fed's role in monetary policy, banking, and the economy - Collaborate with fellow board members on a presentation about the Fed to deliver at your school - Learn career-planning practices from Fed leaders, former interns, and professionals ## Who Should Apply Rising seniors at St. Louis-area public or private high schools who are in good academic standing, can commit to every meeting, and can secure a teacher nomination and recommendation. Children of Fed employees are ineligible. ## Outcomes Graduates understand central banking from the inside, gain presentation and leadership experience, and become eligible to apply for a limited number of summer internships reserved for program alumni at the St. Louis Fed.
