What Is Wharton Global High School Investment?
Wharton's free global competition brings together teams of four to six students in grades 9-12 from the same high school or campus, guided by a school-employed teacher or educator. During a ten-week virtual investment simulation, each team researches a real Wharton graduate client and develops a long-term strategy using permitted stocks and exchange-traded funds. Judges emphasize analysis, teamwork, process and strategy—not simply portfolio returns.
For 2026-27, registration opened August 10 and closes September 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. Trading begins September 28; the official roster is due October 9; the Investment Policy Statement is due November 6; and the final report and school verification are due December 4. Up to 50 teams advance to virtual semifinals and ten to the April 29-30, 2027 Global Finale.
