What Is Young Writers Workshop at Bard College?
The Young Writers Workshop historically used Bard's writing-and-thinking approach to help high-school writers develop voice, close reading, collaborative response, revision, and work across prose, poetry, drama, personal narrative, and experimental forms. The last surviving official application is for students in grades 9-11 and asks the student—not a parent—to submit a 500-700 word true prose narrative and one teacher letter of support.
