What Is Boston University High School Honors?
High School Honors is BU Summer Term's credit-bearing pre-college pathway. Rising juniors and seniors study alongside university students and choose up to two of more than 80 undergraduate courses across sciences, business, humanities, arts, social sciences, computing, languages, and health fields. Residential students take two courses; commuters may take one or two, and selected online courses are available. Successful students can earn up to eight BU credits, but any future college decides whether to accept transfer credit.
The 2026 residential and commuter program ran June 28-August 7. BU listed pending-approval tuition of USD 6,760 for eight credits, plus service fees and optional housing and dining. Limited need-and-merit aid existed, with restrictions; one separate Summer Term Scholarship supported one student.
