What Is Camp Rising Sun?

Camp Rising Sun is the Louis August Jonas Foundation’s residential leadership community in Rhinebeck, New York, bringing teenagers from many countries together for camper-led activities and shared community work.

The official 2026 application and FAQ materials described four-week attendance, ages at least 15 at session start and not yet 17 at its end, full tuition scholarships for admitted campers, and limited need-based travel support. Voluntary family donations were separate from tuition and admission. The $399 price belongs to the foundation’s separate TELE programme and is not a Camp Rising Sun fee.
