# Science for Success Teen Internship Science for Success is the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's paid teen internship, embedding students from Cleveland-area high schools in the museum's Education and Community Engagement departments. Interns join as rising freshmen and can grow with the museum across their high school years, working weekend shifts during the school year and expanded weekday schedules each summer in University Circle. ## What You'll Do - Work project- and mission-based assignments alongside museum educators and staff - Support programming for visitors while building your own STEM communication skills - Work about two weekend shifts (10 am-4 pm) per month in the school year, and two to three days per week in summer, up to 28 hours per week - Attend monthly virtual team meetings and mentoring check-ins ## Who Should Apply Applicants must be rising high school freshmen at the time of application, with priority consideration for students from Cleveland and East Cleveland. Applications require a transcript, short interest statements, and references - only complete applications are considered. The museum has directed prospective applicants to check back for updates in Fall 2026 for the next application window. ## Outcomes Interns earn $11 per hour while building a years-long professional relationship with a major natural history museum - real resume experience, mentoring from museum professionals, and a launchpad for science, education, and museum careers.
