What Is Fordham Summer Leaders Academy?
The Summer Leaders Academy is Fordham's one- and two-week New York City pre-college program for students who have completed at least one year of high school. Students choose one daily course across STEM, business, law, arts, humanities, pre-health, leadership, or social science, with residential or commuter participation, college/career preparation, community activities, and chaperoned NYC excursions. Noncredit courses are open to rising sophomores through seniors; credit courses are primarily for rising seniors, with qualified rising juniors considered.
The completed 2026 program cost $1,418-$6,173, depending on length, credit, and commuter/residential status. Rates included course programming and materials; resident rates also included housing and three meals daily, while commuter rates included lunch. A $75 application payment and $300 seat deposit applied to the bill, with a further $50 housing deposit for residents. Fordham offered limited need-based discounts rather than scholarships. All 2026 sessions are over, and 2027 courses, tuition, aid dates, and deadlines will be posted by December 2026.
