What Is International Bridge Building Competition?
The International Bridge Building Contest invites regional high-school bridge builders to design a model under annual specifications and test its structural efficiency. First- and second-place regional students qualify; a third entrant is permitted only under the stated different-school exception. Schools use an approved region rather than direct individual registration for the international event.
The latest completed international contest was at Illinois Institute of Technology on May 9, 2026. The 2027 notice seeks a host organizer and does not announce a student deadline, venue or fee.
