# Minnesota Business Venture Minnesota Business Venture (MBV) is BestPrep's week-long summer business and career development camp, held on a Twin Cities university campus. Students work in teams to invent a product and build the business around it, then present Shark Tank-style to a panel, while spending the rest of the week on interviewing, personal finance and career skills with volunteers from Minnesota employers. ## What You'll Do - Live on campus for a week at the University of St. Thomas with a team of students from across the state - Create a product and a business plan and pitch it to judges at the end of the week - Practice mock interviews with business volunteers and build a resume and personal brand - Attend sessions on financial literacy, careers and professional communication - Hear keynote speakers and work directly with Resident Business Leaders assigned to each team ## Who Should Apply Students completing grades 9 through 12 at public, private, charter and home schools. No prior business coursework is required. Registration is handled online by BestPrep, and financial aid is available for students who demonstrate need. ## Outcomes BestPrep keeps the cost low through corporate sponsorship and offers scholarships, and the camp has run for decades as one of Minnesota's main business-education pipelines. Participants leave with a completed team venture and pitch, interview and resume practice with real hiring managers, and a network of adult mentors from Minnesota companies.
