What Is Howard University Pre-Business Program?
Howard University School of Business's Pre-Business Program is a residential summer experience for motivated current high-school sophomores and juniors exploring business majors and careers. Although the site calls the overall offering a two-week program, each student attends one one-week session. The completed 2026 windows were July 18-24 and July 25-31 on Howard's Washington, D.C. campus.
The track portfolio included George S. Willie Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP), accounting and athlete Name/Image/Likeness, AltFinance, entrepreneurship, music business, information systems/cybersecurity, and actuarial science. Students joined faculty- and professional-led instruction, case discussions, workshops, hands-on exercises, site visits, networking and college-readiness activities, and track-specific projects or presentations. AltFinance required completed or concurrent Pre-Calculus.
