What Is Blueprint by HackMIT?
Blueprint is a beginner-friendly weekend learnathon and hackathon for high-school students hosted by HackMIT at MIT. The 2026 event ran February 28–March 1 in Cambridge: Saturday's learnathon at the Stata Center taught technical skills and supported project ideation and team formation, while Sunday's hackathon at Walker Memorial gave teams time, mentors, meals, and judging support to build a computer-science project. No coding experience was required, and students could arrive without a team. The in-person weekend was free and included workshops, mentors, resources, swag, and meals. Lodging was not reimbursed and there was no virtual hacker track. Applications closed February 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern.
